1. Can I pre-book my preferred seat?

 

On all fastjet flights you have the option to pre-select your preferred seat including those seats that offer extra comfort and legroom.

Customer flying on a ValueFlyer fare can pre-select their seats and pay for it online or through the Call Centre or at fastjet Shops. For customers flying on a FlexiFlyer pre-selecting a seat is free.

2. Are pre-booked seat charges refundable?

 

Pre-booked seat fees are non-refundable, except if a flight is cancelled by fastjet with no alternate flight offered to you.

 

3. I have not received the booking confirmation. What do I do?

 

If this happens, please contact the fastjet Call Centre.

 

4. I received an error message while trying to book my fastjet flight. What should I do?

 

Try refreshing the page. If you are still having problems, contact the fastjet Call Centre.

 

5. How do I book a ticket with fastjet?

 

Booking your fastjet flight could not be simpler. Visit the  How to book and pay section of our website for a step-by-step instructional guide to using fastjet’s online reservation system. You can also contact the fastjet Call Centre or visit your nearest fastjet shop.

 

6. Can I make a last-minute booking?

 

You certainly can book at short notice. Please remember that your booking is only confirmed once payment is received. If you choose the option to PAY LATER, remember there is a time limit in which you need to pay for your fastjet flight.

If you would like to book a flight that is departing within three (3) hours the pay later option is not available and payment for your booking will be required immediately.

 

7. If I choose to PAY LATER, who much time do I have to pay for the flights?

 

If you book a flight that departs….

  • in more than 7 days, you must pay for the flight within 72 hours of making the booking.

  • between 2 days and 7 days, you must pay for the flight within 24 hours of making the booking.

  • in less than 2 days, but more than 4 hours before the departure time, you must pay for the flight within 3 hours of making your booking.

  • in less than 4 hours, but more than 3 hours before the departure time, you must pay for the flight within 1 hour of making your booking.

  • In less than 3 hours before the departure time, there will be no hold period, the payment for the booking will be required immediately.

 

8. If I choose to PAY LATER and then do not make the payment within the time limit what happens to my booking?

 

If you are unable to pay for the booking within the prescribed hold time, the booking will be automatically cancelled.  Should you wish to still travel a new booking will be required.  Please understand that the original price and flights secured may no longer be available at the time of rebooking. You can also contact the fastjet Call Centre or visit your nearest fastjet shop.

 

9. Why do I not see any flights on future dates?

 

Fastjet flight schedules are displayed and published in accordance with seasonal approvals. To stay informed of the new flight schedules for all our destinations we suggest you follow us on FacebookTwitter and Instagram and we will let you know when the latest schedules are published.

 

10. Does fastjet send out tickets?

 

Fastjet does not issue an e-ticket when booking directly on the website, via the Call Centre or a fastjet shop.  We will provide you with a booking receipt which will include your booking confirmation number, full flight details including all relevant flight and day of travel information. You may opt for us to send you a SMS with your booking confirmation number if you request this at the time of booking, a small fee will apply. To check in for your flight you will require your booking confirmation number and proof of identification such as a Government issued National identity card/book, or a passport required for international travel.

 

11. I have made a double booking in error. Can this be resolved?

 

Errors do happen. If you have booked twice in error please immediately contact our sales team via the Call Centre or visit your nearest fastjet office within 24 hours from time of booking to sort this out.

 

12. I want to change my booking. Can I do this online?

 

Yes, you can make changes online if you booked and paid for your flights directly with fastjet, either via the website, our Call Centre or a fastjet shop.  If you have booked and secured a fastjet booking via a travel agency or online travel agent, you will be required to contact them directly for all booking changes.

To make a booking change online visit our website home page and “Change my Flight” option in the Manage My Booking listed options. Follow the steps to enter your booking confirmation number and your last name or surname. Ensure that the correct booking is displayed before proceeding with the required changes.

Payments for changes need to be made immediately.

Online changes cannot be made if your flight departs within three (3) hours. Changes at a fastjet Shop or through the fastjet Call Centre may be requested up to one (1) hour before the flight departure time. No changes are permitted once you have checked in for a flight
