As a rule all fastjet tickets are non-refundable. There are exceptions, which we have listed below. Should one apply to you and you would like to claim a refund or request a re-booking, contact the Call Centre and follow the instructions.

Can I claim a refund?

  • In the event of a death of a booked Guest, a refund will be processed. A certified copy of the death certificate must be submitted along with the refund request.

  • In the event of hospitalisation of a booked Guest, a medical certificate must be submitted along with the refund request.

  • We will not refund Guests whose flights are cancelled or delayed as a result of Force Majeure*.

 

*Force Majeure means any occurrence beyond our control including but not limited to an act of God, war, riots, embargoes, acts of terrorism, accidents, or any other causes, circumstances or contingencies beyond our control.

 

What is an involuntary refund?

If we cancel a flight or fail to stop at your destination and no other flight is available, or a refund is otherwise due to you, the amount of the refund will be

  • if no portion of the ticket has been used, an amount equal to the fare paid.

  • if a portion of the ticket has been used, the refund will be not less than the difference between the fare paid and the applicable fare for travel between the points for which the ticket has been used.

 

You qualify for a refund. Now what!

  • Contact the Call Centre to request your refund or re-booking.

  • Please note that it can take up to 21 working days to process your refund.

 

Refunds are processed via the original payment method used to book the ticket. If payment was made using mobile money, then the refund will be administered as a mobile payment in the same currency as the originally transaction.
