There are times when you simply can’t make your flight. Here you can find out if you can claim a refund and what documentation we require from you.

As a rule all fastjet tickets are non-refundable.

We will, however, consider refunding a ticket

  • In the event of death of the Booked customer, a refund will be considered by us for the deceased. A certified copy of the death certificate must be submitted with refund request. The refund request will be considered for member/s of the immediate family that were booked to accompany the deceased booked on the same flight/date or same booking reference.

  • In the event of death of an immediate family member of a booked customer, the booking may be amended for travel at a later date; the date/flight change penalty may be waivered by us with difference in fares, taxes and surcharges to be calculated in accordance with our applicable tariff in effect on the date on which payment for your changes are received. No refund will be permitted.

  • We require a certified copy of the death certificate and an affidavit to be submitted together with the refund application.

Fastjet will refund the ticket fare via the original payment channel used when booking the ticket. Contact our Call Centre or visit your nearest fastjet shop for more information.
