Marathon athletes are fast, very fast, but are they faster than a fastjet flight? To settle this debate and quench our competitive nature, we have partnered with the Victoria Falls Marathon for a relay event.

Fastjet has been named the official airline partner for the Victoria Falls Marathon on the 2nd of July 2023. From the starting line, we will fly the athletes from Harare, Kariba, Hwange National Park, Johannesburg, and Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga to Victoria Falls. Once in Victoria Falls, fastjet will pass on the baton, and the athletes will take part in Africa’s number one marathon.

Adding to our flights to Victoria Falls, we have a fastjet water hole along the route at The Big Tree where our team will keep athletes hydrated by giving out water sachets and cheering them on. Be sure to catch a breather and say hi to our team at The Big Tree. Selfie, anyone? #fastjetForEveryone

In the words of Srinivas Mishra, “If the environment is happy, people will laugh, and grief will go away”. We are hoping for the best-ever edition of the Victoria Falls Marathon full of laughter. To ensure this happens, we have partnered with the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit (VFAPU), an organisation working to prevent poaching of our wildlife and natural resources. We want the environment to be happy.

VFAPU rangers will take part in a 21-kilometre run raising awareness on poaching and the risks it poses to our environment. At the finishing line, we will have a display of commonly used snares and traps that are applied, and we are aiming to educate the public on actions to take if they encounter such devices.
