Earlier today, our Customer Services Department received an anonymous email alerting us of intended unlawful interference against flights and activities in Victoria Falls. While no specific fastjet flights were mentioned, the email referenced a flight from another airline, all flight activities as well as the conference scheduled today in Victoria Falls.

Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our customers, staff, and the community at large. Therefore, in accordance with our approved procedures, we implemented our Security Risk & Threat protocols without delay, which included immediately notifying the relevant authorities and engaging with all the relevant parties, including the other airline mentioned in the email.

The relevant authorities initiated the temporary closure of Victoria Falls International Airport whilst they undertook the necessary precautions. This closure affected the operations of all airlines arriving and departing from the airport during that time, and resulted in delays to three of our flights.

We maintain our full cooperation with the relevant authorities, who are now handling the matter in their official capacity.

All our other flights are operating as normal whilst we maintain our usual high standards of safety, security and service.
